Kolber was born in Pennsylvania, earned her graduate degree at University of Miami. Her professional journey began as a video producer at CBS Sports in New York City. She won a regional Sports Emmy during her tenure with WTVJ-TV which is located in Miami. She was a part of WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach.
