Taylor's journey to fame began with YouTube. Taylor began by making ASMR videos using her smartphone. After achieving 50,000 subscribers approximately 1 1/2 months after the upload of her first video she appeared in a game video made created by PewDiePie. Taylor stopped making videos for her Youtube Channel after two months, and was more than 100,000 subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues related to her new equipment, and the overwhelming success of her channel. After taking a month off, Taylor began making new videos. Taylor created the cult ASMR ten triggers designed to assist you in sleeping (35 millions views by august 2022). She released ASMR 20 triggers designed to help you sleep in July 2017. (38 million views by the end of August in 2022). In August 2017, she was interviewed in Shane Dawson's video, and soon afterward, hit a million YouTube subscribers. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue, reported that she earns $1000 per month through the YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer along with Elaine Helfer were the parents of Helfer at the time she was born. Her parents are of German, English and Swedish descent. She attended the William E. Hay Composite High School in Stettler situated in Alberta. Her three sisters, Tammy, Tara and Trena resided and worked on their family's farm. Helfer was spotted at 17 by a modeling agency scout while standing in line at the movie theater.
